ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE BY HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN DURING HIS VISIT TO GILGIT-BALTISTAN ON 29-30th SEPTEMBER, 2009

3 Purchase of Buses for NATCO. Rs.562.000 million
4 Establishment of Regional Offices of National Bank, Agriculture Bank and HBFC in Gilgit-Baltistan.
5 Creation of posts for completed development schemes. (This directive is also included in the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan call on Prime Minister dated 29th January 2010). Rs.664.145 million
6 Declaration of Gilgit as big City with all facilities including Hiring/Requisitioning of Private Accommodations and Conveyance Allowances for the employees serving in Gilgit Headquarter. (This directive is also included in the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan call on Prime Minister dated 29th January 2010). Rs.263.040 million
7 Incentive Package for officers posted /to be posted from Federal Government in line with package for Balochistan. Rs.2.025 million
8 Provision of one fully equipped Ambulance for each District Headquarters Hospital of Gilgit Baltistan. Rs.33.040 million.
9 An economic project specific package of Rs.15 billion spread over a medium term frame (over and above annual development grant).
10 National and foreign training programme for bureaucracy of Gilgit-Baltistan to up-grade their capacity. Rs.57.000 million
11 Increase the number of Tractors under Benazir Tractor Scheme. Rs.80.000 million
12 Housing schemes at Gilgit and Skardu for low income citizens/employees.
13 Development Project (Establishment of Agriculture Research Centre, Gilgit-Baltistan).
14 Establishment of Medical College in Gilgit. (This directive is also included in the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan call on Prime Minister dated 29th January 2010).
15 Construction of Civil Dispensary at Chilm Astore.

9 2476 Establishment of new Tehsils of Chalt, Danyore and Phandar in Gilgit-Baltistan.
10 2477 Launching of Sweet Home Scheme at Gilgit and Skardu.
11 2478 Diversion of Shatong Nullah of Sadpara Dam.
12 2479 Recruitment of 5000 new police personnel in Gilgit-Baltistan Police Department.
13 2480 Establishment of a new District in Baltistan Division. Administration to submit proposal.
14 2481 Finalize payment of compensation to the affectees of Sadpara Dam.
15 2482 Approval of all PC-IVs of Education Sector.
16 2483 Proprietary rights to all occupants of Nautor land.

3 Exemption of cut on development budget of Gilgit-Baltistan.
4 Implementation of PM Directives issues in Gilgit and Skardu for filling up 7200 vacancies, big city package for employees in Skardu and Gilgit, up-gradation of Gilgit and Skardu airports, setting up of Medical college in Gilgit-Baltistan etc.
5 Finalization of Gilgit-Baltistan Council, cabinet formation and notification of Governor for region.
